Build Checklist
Here are the specifications we will need from you before we start building your banjo.
These need to be finalized only just before we start building; you can place an order without having final (or any!) specs.

Rim Size: 10, 11, 12 or 13"
Woods: Main wood, Trim wood
Most common main woods: Claro or Black Walnut, Mahogany, Cherry, Figured or Plain Maple
Most common trim woods: Ebony, Macassar Ebony, Chechen, Cocobolo, Black Walnut, etc.

Tonering: Rosewood integral, Romero, Belle Rose, Whyte Ladie, Tubaphone, Flathead, etc. Tone ring details.
Scale Length: We generally determine the best scale length by the rim size, but if you have a specific scale length in mind let us know. Click here for more details on scale lengths.
Peghead Shape: Click here for options, including back peghead details.
Scoop: Optional. Click here for scoop examples.
Heel: Standard, Guitar or Dobson. Heel examples.
Hardware: L-shoes, tailpiece, hardware finishes, tuners. Click here for options.
Inlay & Onlay: Most designs on the site are available. Individual designs are welcome, whether you already have a specific image or just a concept. Inlay examples and onlay examples.
Head Type: Goatskin, Calfskin, Renaissance, Fyberskin, Frosted white. We usually stain both synthetic and natural skins to match the instrument wood, but unstained skins are also available.
Set-up: Your playing style, action preference, etc. will determine the ideal set-up for you. Here are some of the set-up details.
